Poll: Are shields wielded by hostile NPCs too effective?

Just crouch when you swing for easy wins against shields. My main gripe with them is that they're simply not fun to play against as they can completely neutralise almost every attack besides crouches. I feel like the main problem is lack of punishes available against shields, the most effective way would be to circle to their right and swing but due to the nature of the controls in this game it makes it very hard to quickly circle the opponent. A lock on system would solve these problems but I feel like that wouldnt fit the style of the game

Yeah, shields aren't invulnerable and it's very unrealistic how they just effortlessly block even 2 handed polearm swings. In reality, a polearm-wielding knight would smash that shield into pieces or break the guy's shield arm long before the sword-and-boarder got even one hit in.

@Kaladin Well the devs said that there will be destructible objects in the game so your wish might come true at some point.

A new level of boredom.

Didn't they reduce the amount of these creeps??? Why am i invaded by shield users???
