Spontaneous combustion.

I joined an ogre game in expert with a shield user hireling and what happened next is like someone droped an expansive circle in the middle arena that when it reached all the screen it turned white, like a flashbang. After that an error message appeared (sorry i didnt screen it) the shield user just banished. The match continued without him, normally.
I went to check if he was alive after we finished and no, he died.

That was scary :c

So your companion activated some physics error/bug and then got deleted to keep your game from crashing

Sounds like the pagan magicks got to them. I would recommend avoiding the same fate by the word of God. Also generously donate to your local church (because it would be a nice thing to do).
